Vulcanos and Lakes
The City spreads between the hills and the sea. New buildings are a clear contrast with the colorfull homes on stilts (palafitos) on the ocean shore. The artisan and fish Market of Angelmó are one of the highlights of the city. Close, Puerto Varas on the shores of Lake Llanquihue awaits with the spectacular view of the Osorno Vulcano, the Calbuco or the Puntiagudo. The Petrohue falls, are located on the way to the shores of the Emerald colored lake Todo Los Santos. The panoramic lake Crossing towards Bariloche at the Argentine side of the Andes begins at this lake.
